She Believed She Could, So She Did—Preschool Edition

Kelanie just celebrated a big milestone—her preschool graduation! She lives at The Neighborhood Village with her mom and sister, where they’ve found more than just a roof over their heads—they’ve found community, connection, and the space to dream. Kelanie is full of light, energy, and personality, and she’s already making her mark. For her graduation photo, she posed with her favorite Salt + Light team member, Carmen—who has become such a meaningful role model in her life that Kelanie even dressed up as her for school this year!

Living at The Neighborhood Village means Kelanie gets to catch the bus to school with other kids in the community, build friendships right outside her door, and grow up in a place where she is surrounded by people who care. We’re so proud of this smart, joyful little graduate and can’t wait to see all that she’ll do next!
