Alex Torres, Salt + Light’s Data Specialist, brings a keen analytical mind and a passion for making a positive impact. Hailing from Hanford, CA, where she currently resides, Alex was born in Porterville, CA, and raised in the heart of the Central Valley. As one of six siblings, Alex values the importance of family, which deeply influences her desire to help others.
With a B.A. in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley, Alex has a strong foundation in both policy and economics. Before joining Salt + Light, she gained invaluable experience as a Digital Fundraising Fellow for Momentum Campaigns, where she helped manage and develop email campaigns for major PACs and political candidates. Her journey also included a year of traveling the world, broadening her global perspective and fueling her drive to contribute meaningfully to her community.
At Salt + Light, Alex oversees the organization’s database, ensuring that data collection, input, and reporting run seamlessly. Her expertise allows for insightful analysis that informs decision-making and helps further Salt + Light's mission. Alex’s technical skills in web development and music production add a creative edge to her work, blending her interests in technology with her passion for service.
When she’s not at work, Alex enjoys spending time with her family, staying active outdoors, hitting the gym, and honing her web development and music production skills. She is deeply committed to Salt + Light’s mission of creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone feels safe and valued.
